Candice Cole studied Interior Design at the Academy of Design through Yorkville University in Toronto, and began her Event Décor company, Pearl Decor & Events, by arranging rentals and décor for Mmea Catering, as well as designed their website, brochures and more. In 2013 she was asked for some flyers for her decorating and rentals because the Gibson Center, a popular venue in Ontario, had asked about her. She followed up by taking an Event Management course given by the famous author and planner, Serena Evans. Within six months, she had built a website, designed flyers, ads, a commercial, YouTube tutorials, grown her rental inventory, made a blog, planned two events, decorated for eight, and rented out linens for five DIY weddings and parties. She started using several different social media platforms, and began networking with local business owners. Within the next year she had been hired to plan fundraisers for Sick Kids Hospital and The Green Party Campaign; that is when Pearl Decor & Events started to flourish.
In 2014, she was asked to sit on the Board Directors for the local Chamber of Commerce. She is now the Vice President and the head of advertising for that Chamber. She is also an active member of the Barrie chapter of the Rising Tide Society.
